Profits in Hospice Care under Scrutiny

Hospice homes are designed as the last stop for terminally ill patients, those with six months or less to live. This story from Bloomberg.com looks at the growth in private hospice care,  private equity firms in the industry, the incentives some companies used to keep hospice beds full, Medicare reimbursement rates and the increase in lengthy stays for patients.
